The Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) has launched ‘Udyogaratham’ in association with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and TMI here on Friday.
The mobile ‘employment exchange’ will keep you posted of the job vacancies, arising in your area from time to time, through SMSs on your mobile phone. Job seekers can also download a mobile android App ‘Appli’ to view all the vacancies available.
“The number of job seekers entering the job market every year in India is around 1.2 crore as against the 0.5 crore jobs available every year. Employers say they are unable to find the right talent to fill the vacancies. This is despite several lakh graduates being churned out by colleges all over the country every year,” says T. Muralidharan, executive chairman of the TMI Group, a recruitment and employment-generation company.
“Many a time, job seekers are not aware of the vacancies available in the micro and small industries in their own city or local area. About 95 per cent of the new jobs are available only in MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) but a majority of those, who have the skills, wish to join only in big industries and corporate companies”.
“ A team of executives from the Udyogaratham will approach the employers in the area allotted to them each day and make a list of job vacancies in the MSMEs in Visakhapatnam district,” says Mr. Muralidharan.

The high tech employment van has computers, LCD TV for displaying job information and e-kiosks and seating arrangements to enable youths to register their names and get the latest job information available in Visakhapatnam and neighbouring districts.
