Nominated MLA Tocher visits Aloysius School

Nominated MLA from Anglo Indian Community Phillip C Tocher visited St. Aloysius Anglo Indian High School and participated in the awareness campaign “Save water, save trees.”

Rector Fr. Phillip and Principal Rev. Fr. Raja Reddy, accompanied by St. Aloysius School Marching band, welcomed him.

Mr. Tocher stressed the importance of the government’s campaign on planting saplings.

Oldest school

St. Aloysius Anglo Indian High School, established in 1847 by the Missionaries St. Francis De Sales, is the oldest Catholic institution in Visakhapatnam.

Till 1940, the pupils were chiefly Anglo-Indians. Today St. Aloysius Anglo-Indian High School continues its efforts to cater to the needs the surroundings as well.

Civil Aviation Minister P. Ashok Gajpathi Raju and MLA Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar are alumni of the school.
