Burning of the effigies of KCR, dancing to the beat of drums, formation of human chains, hunger strikes and holding up of traffic continued on Monday also as part of the Samaikyandhra agitation demanding that the State should be kept united.

Fasts were continued for the 12th day under the aegis of APNGOs Association at the Collectorate on Monday. Principals, ESI Hospital staff, Panchayat Raj, KGH, staff of the Madhurawada Primary Health Centre and Irrigation Department participated in the hunger strike on Monday. Association city president Venkateswara Rao found fault with Ministers from Seemandhra not resigning from their positions and joining the movement. He demanded their immediate resignation failing which they would have to pay a heavy price in future.
Mahila Congress leaders and DWACRA women took out a rally with an effigy of KCR and burnt it on the Main Road at Asilametta. Government Whip Dronamraju Srinivas beat the drum as women activists danced in gay abandon. GVMC Data Entry operators took out a rally and formed a human chain.
Amalapuram MP G.V. Harsha Kumar called on the striking students of Andhra University and expressed his solidarity with them.
The Gajuwaka Bar Association commenced a relay hunger strike camp in front of the Gajuwaka Courts Complex.
Bar association president V. Eswara Rao and others participated in first day’s fast.
