New press box opened at cricket stadium

The new press box of the ACA-VDCA Stadium, constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.15 crore was inaugurated by Chairman of Visakhapatnam Port Trust M.T. Krishna Babu on Monday. The first match to be held at the stadium after the new press box is provided is the third and final Twenty20 match between visiting Sri Lanka team and Indian team on February 14.

Twenty20 match arrangements

Mr. Krishna Babu, after chairing a meeting of the organising committee of the Twenty20 match, informed reporters that the sale of tickets for the match would commence on February 10 or 11after finalising the list of eSeva centres through which the sale would take place. Tickets been priced at Rs. 3,000, Rs. 2,000, Rs. 1,500, Rs. 1,000, Rs.600 and Rs.300.

Tickets of the Rs. 3,000 and Rs. 2,000 denomination would be sold at the Axis Bank’s Madhurawada branch and at the ACA-VDCA stadium while tickets of these two denominations and of Rs. 1,500 would also be sold online through kyazoonga.com.

A total of 2,710 tickets would be sold to the players of cricket clubs, through the district cricket associations at a subsided price of Rs. 200 each.

The meeting was attended by Collector N. Yuvaraj, Commissioner of Police Amit Garg, Joint Collector J. Nivas, Deputy Chairman of VPT P.L. Harinath, president of ACA D.V.V.S. Somayajulu, working president of VDCA and MLA P. Vishnukumar Raju, vice-presidents of ACA G.J.J. Raju, V. Umamaheswara Rao, treasurer M.A. Rahim, secretary of North Zone of ACA G.V. Sanyasi Raju and others office bearers of ACA.

The Indian and Sri Lankan teams are arriving here by a special flight at 1.15 p.m. on February 13.
