A new add-on course, ‘English for Competitive Exams’, was inaugurated at Dr V. S. Krishna Govt. Degree College (Autonomous) on Monday.
Addressing the students who have enrolled for the course, college principal V. Chandra Sekhar said that knowledge in English language would enable the students to grab a job very quickly.
Apart from current affairs, mathematics and reasoning, English plays a very crucial role in most of the competitive exams, he added. The syllabus for the course has been designed to suit the requirements of the candidates preparing for various competitive exams.
Head of the Department of English V. Sudheer and course coordinator CVS Ravindranath gave the snippets of the course to the students.
