Minister for Tribal Welfare P. Balaraju flagged off a new direct bus service to G.K. Veedhi at a simple function held at the Dwaraka Bus Station (RTC Complex) in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday.

Government Whip Dronamraju Srinivas was present.

The new service, launched by Visakhapatnam region of RTC, will leave Narsipatnam at 2 p.m. on all days and reach Visakhapatnam at 4:15 p.m. and leave for G.K. Veedhi at 4:45 p.m. It will reach its destination at 9:15 p.m. In the return direction, it will leave G.K. Veedhi at 5 a.m. and reach Visakhapatnam at 9:45 a.m.

The new service would be beneficial to people of G.K. Veedhi and Chintapalli mandals to reach Visakhapatnam.

RTC Regional Manager Y. Jagadish Babu, deputy chief traffic managers P. Jeevan Prasad (Rural), A. Veeraiah Choudhury (Urban) and Visakhapatnam depot managers Praveen and Gangadhar were present.
