Changes are needed to strengthen the education system, said first generation scientist in computer science and professor of Plymouth State University (the U. S.) Roger G. Marshall at a function organised by GVP MLBT School here on Friday. Prof. Marshall said that primary education was important for the overall development of a child, and it was necessary to create interest in the child about culture and traditions. Students must be prepared to avoid stress and improve their creativity, he advised. GVP secretary P. Somaraju, vice-president A.S.N. Prasad, former principal of GVP Junior College Raja Ganapathi, principal K. Madhuravani, and an official of anti-piracy wing of Canadian Embassy T.S. Chakravarthi spoke.
