NCC camp gets underway

A 10-day combined annual training camp II began at AP BC Welfare Residential School at Simhachalam on Monday. Over 500 cadets and 25 employees are participating in it.

Inaugurating the camp, Camp Commandant V.N. Bharadwaj said it was intended to inculcate discipline and qualities of leadership among the cadets and help them develop a sense of responsibility.

Drill, map-reading, weapon-training, firing, games, physical training, games, quiz, personality development, health and hygiene and conservation of energy are among the subjects in the camp.

Blood donation and plantation programmes will be organised on June 5 (World Environment Day).
