As a precursor to the Navy Week celebrations, ships will be open to students of city schools on November 26 and 27. Students will get a chance to visit two of the Eastern Fleet’s frontline warships INS Shivalik and INS Kirch from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the two days. During the visit, students will be taken on a guided tour of the ships and career counselling will also be provided to those who see their future in serving the Indian Navy. Schoolchildren in uniform and accompanied by their staff can visit the ships.

Only Indian nationals will be permitted to visit the ships. The entry point for visiting the ships will be ‘Chalukya Gate’ near Satavahana Bus Stop (Pipeline Junction) at the Naval Dockyard.
