National Urban Water award for GVMC

Award given for GVMC's wireless digital metering of industrial supply

The GVMC has been selected for an award for its management of industrial water supply, Municipal Commissioner M.V. Satyanarayana has said.

Addressing a gathering after unfurling the flag on the Republic Day, he said the corporation was selected for the National Urban Water award for its wireless digital metering of industrial supply. Recently, the GVMC had won two JNNURM awards. Earlier, Mr. Satyanarayana garlanded the statue of Mahatma Gandhi near the GVMC.

Livelihood centre

A livelihood centre would soon be opened in each of the six zones to improve livelihood opportunities for women, the Commissioner said.
