MP seeks better amenities at railway stations

Anakapalle MP Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao has sought provision of better passenger amenities at Anakapalle and Elamanchili Railway Stations of South Central Railway (SCR).

A meeting of MP s, whose constituencies were falling under the limits of SCR Zone, was held in Vijayawada on Tuesday.

Mr. Srinivasa Rao submitted a memorandum to SCR General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav seeking among other things: providing halts to Nanded-Visakhapatnam, Amaravathi Express (18048/47), Howrah-YesvantapuVisakhapatnam-Kollam, Coromandal Express, Falaknuma Express Visakhpatnam-Mumbai LTT Express and Visakhapatnam-GIMB (Gandhidham) Express at Anakapalle. He sought provision of facilities like lifts, escalators, trolley, FOB, battery cart, wheel chairs, generators and wi-fi.

He also sought provision of better amenities and halts at Elamanchili Railway Station, widening of the approach road to Narsipatnam Road Railway Station and introduction two new passenger trains between Samarlakota and Visakhapatnam.
