Motorists thronged petrol bunks in the city from Monday evening itself as the Visakhapatnam Petrol Dealers Association has announced its decision to observe a 24-hour bandh from Monday midnight.

Some of the petrol bunks closed on Monday evening itself triggering panic among motorists. They waiting patiently in long queues at the available bunks for their turn to get their fuel tanks filled. The huge rush at the bunks fuelled further panic among motorists. They wondered as to how many days the bunks would be closed.

The Association leaders had announced that 160 petrol bunks in the city and district would remain closed during the bandh. Association president D. Babji and secretary T. Narayana Reddy appealed to the public to cooperate with the dealers and support the cause of united Andhra Pradesh.
