Mobile cancer screening camps

A mobile cancer screening camp of All India Marwari Yuva Manch (AIMYM) will hold camps in the district and Vizianagaram from June 30 to July 9.

The screening camp, under AIMYM’s national cancer detection drive Mission Jagriti, is organised in a super bus of 40 feet length extendable by another 6 to 8 feet with a 20-foot retractable canopy.

The camp will be organised near Women’s College, South Jail Road, in the city from June 30 to July 2, at the Steel Plant Hospital from July 3 to 4, at Radhakrishna temple, Phoolbagh, Vizianagaram from July 5 to 6 and in Visakhapatnam on July 9, according to Secretary of Marwari Yuva Manch here Mahesh Kumar Agarwal.

The bus has facilities to conduct tests like blood sugar, BMI, complete blood count, mammography, X-ray, CA125 blood test for ovarian cancer, PSA Analyser and oral cancer detection. Working from 10 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. around 250 persons can be screened in a day, a statement issued by the manch said.
