Directs them to hold medical camps

Minister for Mines and Geology R.V.S.K. Ranga Rao on Monday warned medical officers of action if he received complaints of dereliction of duties.

Mr. Ranga Rao asked Collector and ITDA Project Officers to post him updates on the action on the preventive measures taken to control spread of malaria and other seasonal diseases in the Agency region, particularly on hilltop villages. Further, he asked medical and health employees and field staff to organise medical camps at the places where the incidence of malaria and viral fevers were rampant and also allot special wards in area hospitals /community health centres to treat patients.

He asked welfare hostel wardens to be present at their place of posting and take preventive measures like supplying boiled water for drinking and sanitation.

Meanwhile, District Collector Vivek Yadav opened an exclusive sanitation monitoring cell with helpline numbers 9441157186 and 9550296170 at zilla parishad to receive complaints from people on sanitation and drinking water.

The Collector asked district and mandal-level officials to take up garbage clearance, spraying, and tank clean-up operation in all panchayats on Tuesday.
