Praja Rajyam president K. Chiranjeevi expressed his shock over the magnitude of the Bayyaram mines scandal and the M.R. Properties scam and demanded an immediate probe by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to get at the truth and bring to books all the ‘master minds' behind the ‘multi-crore frauds'.

Participating in road shows on the last day of his tour in the tail-end parts of Chittoor district, he regretted that the APMDC and the APIIC have doled out precious mines and land holdings on a platter to the Congress big-wigs or their henchmen with scant respect for the rules and regulations.

Continuing his tirade against the government for making liquor flood the roads of the State, he claimed that the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has responded favourably to his request to announce a national policy on prohibition.
