Professor of Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, K S Gandhi delivered Prof. Chelikani Chiranjeevi Endowment Lecture and Prof. Chiranjeevi Mineral Engineer award for 2012 was given away to Magesh Pillai of Vellore Institute of Technology.

The professor from IISc talked on “Multicomponent Diffusion: Practices and Problems” at the TLN Sabha Hall of the Andhra University. During his lecture he elaborated the concept of diffusion techniques and multi-component diffusion techniques. He narrated the practices and problems involved in using this techniques and explained different applications in the field of chemical technology, electronic I.C. techniques and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), among others, according to a press release issued here on Monday by Chairman Faculty of Chemical Engineering and vice principal AU College of Engineering (AUCE) Ch V Ramachandra Murthy.

Earlier, Principal AUCE G S N Raju, who presided over the programme, garlanded the portrait of Prof. Chiranjeevi and introduced the speaker. He also gave away the MESA’s (Mineral Engineering Science Association) Prof. C.Chiranjeevi Mineral Engineer award for the year 2012 to Magesh Pillai from VIT. In charge Registrar K Samrajya Lakshmi, Dean P.G. & Professional Examinations Visweswara Rao, head of department D. Subba Rao, chairperson Board of Studies V Sujatha and senior faculty members, research scholars, retired professors GJVJ Raju, Dakshinamurthy, Sambi Reddy, and students also participated.
