Merit is the only criterion for selecting candidates for the post of junior assistants in the judicial department, Principal District Judge V. Jayasurya said here on Tuesday.

At a press conference, he advised the candidates not to fall prey to the false promises being made to them by some middlemen as he was receiving some complaints. The test would be held from 10.30 a.m. to noon on July 31 at the Dr. L. Bullayya College, GITAM University and Sanketika Engineering College. There are 50 posts and 11,200 out of the 20,000 who applied, have been issued hall-tickets.

Those who have not received hall-tickets and the candidates whose hall tickets have been returned to the District Court can collect the same from the District Court here between July 23 and 27. Duplicate hall tickets will be issued to those who have lost or misplaced their hall-tickets, from July 28 to 30.

Gates of examination centres will be opened at 9 a.m. and closed at 10.10 a.m.
