Several important issues with regard to children in need of care and protection and conflict with law will come up for discussion at a conference being organised by the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (SCPCR) in collaboration with National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) in Vijayawada on June 15.
State Commission in-charge Chairman S. Balaraju told The Hindu on Monday that several aspects of newly amended Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act 2015 would be discussed.
NCPCR Chairperson Stuti Kacker and a high-level delegation of the State-level representatives of women and child, juvenile justice, labour, Sarva Siksha Abhiyan, ChildLine 1098 and NGOs are expected to attend.
Mr. Balaraju said some 150 delegates from all 13 districts are expected to participate in the discussions.
He said presently rules were being framed in consultation with various State governments.
