Mediator system soon, says High Court Chief Justice

The method of resolving cases through mediators would be introduced soon in the State, Chief Justice of Hyderabad High Court Mr. Justice Dilip B. Bhosale said here on Saturday.

This method was a success in Maharashstra and needed support from the advocates as they have to convince their clients to get their cases resolved through mediators, Mr. Justice Bhosale said while participating as chief guest of the valedictory function of district judicial sports and cultural meet at the District Courts Complex.

A training programme for advocates would be conducted here shortly, he announced. The Chief Justice has also seen a great future for legal profession and was confident that in near future meritorious students would prefer this profession.

Principal District Judge V. Jayasurya felicitated Mr. Justice Bhosale and Judge of High Court S.V. Dutt. Mr. Justice Dutt felt that the advocates have to provide quick justice to their clients to retain their confidence.

President of Visakhapatnam Bar Association J. Prudhviraj appealed to the Chief Justice to locate the High Court of AP in Visakhapatnam. He explained the academic atmosphere of the city which has many reputed law institutions and other facilities. Mr. Prudhviraj also pointed out that the Sivaramakrishnan Committee has also suggested establishing the High Court of separate State in Visakhapatnam.
