Agnihotra, which is said to renew the brain cells and revitalises the skin, was conducted on the beach road by Fivefold Path Mission on Sunday for the wellbeing of the mankind.
The mission said the powerful fire and the use of Agnihotra ash helps resolve many physical, emotional and mental problems. Medicines made of Agnihotra ash also promises to cure several ailments, a mission activist said.
Agnihotra and five-fold path were being popularised as propagated by Sadguru Gajanan Maharaj. At the Agnihotra, the devotees were told that homa therapy helps in stress reduction.
Agnihotra is the basic fire in homa therapy. It is the process of purification of the atmosphere through the agency of fire, prepared in the copper pyramid tuned to the biorhythm of sunrise/sunset. By practice of agnihotra, one could notice that tension vanishes and the mind gets peace, a release stated.
