The 25th annual two-day management meet of the Integral Institute of Advanced Management got under way here on Friday.
Every batch of students has taken the initiative to organise the event for the last 24 years without fail, dean and secretary of the college S.P. Ravindra said. This is perhaps the oldest event of any business school in the city, he pointed out.
The students reflecting the resilient spirit of the people of the city undeterred by the havoc wrought by cyclone Hudhud have worked hard and ensured that the annual event is conducted without a break, he said.
Students from 30 business schools in the city and from other districts too came to participate in the events like group dance, singing, fashion show, talent show, short drama, fun games in the cultural section and business quiz, finance, business plan, advertisement competitions, HR event and debate in the academic section, director of the college R Ramachandra Naik said.
Calling upon students to take success and failure in the stride, Senior Superintendent of Post Offices K.V.L.N. Murthy said it was important to have short-term goals and achieve them.
Addressing the students at the inaugural, he spoke at length how India Post has made a turnaround to be customer-friendly and effective.
Crisis brings out the best in an individual, Mr. Ravindra said and urged students to look at work as a pleasure and not a pressure.
