A man was charged with murdering his wife following a dispute.

B. Appala Naidu, 50, and Eswaramma, 45, were living at Driver's Colony. The couple has four sons. Naidu deserted his family in September last year due to marital dispute and was living separately.

Eswaramma was going with her son somewhere around 8.30 p.m. on Monday. Naidu intercepted them and picked up an argument with his wife following which he hit her on her head with a stick. She was shifted to the King George Hospital (KGH) late in the night. She was declared ‘brought dead'.

The accused is at large. Gajuwaka Inspector Appala Raju is investigating the case on a complaint filed by her son Siva.

In another case, the missing of a school boy created a sensation in Old Town area on Tuesday. A 4 class boy of a private school near the Hindu Reading Room went for school as usual in the morning but didn't return home in the evening. The school authorities, however, said that the boy hadn't come to the school.

A message was received that he was spotted near the railway station but it turned out to be false giving rise to the speculation that he was kidnapped.

Later in the evening, the boy was said to have been located near the Vadlapudi junction but it was yet to be ascertained how he had got there. One Town police are investigating the case.
