LRS: VUDA seeks time

Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority has requested the government to extend time for clearance of the pending applications of Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS).

Till the closing date on May 31, 2013, VUDA received a total of 20,391 applications under LRS, out of which 8512 were issued approvals and 5265 were rejected. Among the 6614 pending applications, 5782 applicants were informed to fulfil shortfalls of required documents, payment of balance fee and the rest 832 are under process for further action.

VUDA Vice Chairman N Yuvaraj said as per the government directions, the deadline for disposal of these applications was November 30, 2013. Hence, the government was requested to extend the time for disposal of all pending applications.
