Tossing the meat carvings blending in the succulent sauces at the live noodle counter, the menu rolls out scores of interesting dishes for the Chinese foodies.

A team of seven chefs bring out the authentic delicacies from eight regions of China to Vizagites. The epicureans who are on the look out for the saucy dishes can fill their palate at the Chinese food festival at Hotel Novotel Visakhapatnam Varun Beach which began on Friday.

Tossing the meat carvings blending in the succulent sauces at the live noodle counter, the menu rolls out scores of interesting dishes for the Chinese foodies. The appetisers list has crispy fried broccoli tossed in chilly plum sauce, chea yu mee xhao shung xie, golden fried prawns, lat mai kai and others. An array of salads in portions includes horseradish clamato, spicy Chinese potato salad, sichuan hot chicken salad and lettuce wrap with minced chicken. The festival has a main course menu with shredded lamb in chilli black bean sauce, sweet and sour chicken with pineapple and tomato, noodles with a combination of vegetable slivers and meat carvings, wok-fried baby pak choy, bamboo shoots with sesame oil, sichuan chicken fried rice, ginger corn fried rice, steamed jasmine rice and many more. Cashew nut fish cooked in perfection with colourful bell peppers invites one for a serve. Other special attractions were deep fried spring rolls, momos and meat carvings with a combination of assorted vegetables.

The Chinese interiors and regional music pep up the dining experience that one wishes to relish with the whiff of delicacies.

From spicy to medium-spicy or the flavour of pepper and ginger, the festival has all the culinary dishes for the Chinese food lovers, said General Manager of Novotel Mohd Shoeb. “We have launched the festival on the basis of our customers’ demand and the menu will be changed every day,” he said. The festival will be open for dinner till July 1.
