Discovered in 1906 by Alexander Rim, Buddhist site Bojjannakonda near Anakapalle in Visakhapatnam District of Andhra Pradesh, is a rich treasure trove of our cultural and religious heritage. Very little has, however, been done to popularize it as a tourist destination, to preserve symbol of our history or make it a study tour destination for the lakhs of school children in the region. Here are glimpses of the picturesque site as seen by The Hindu lensman C.V. SUBRAHMANYAM.
