The condition of roads continues to be quite bad and on many thoroughfares it is still a bumpy ride. With the heavy flow of traffic, it needs all the concentration to drive safely.

The road from under the flyover to LIC building up to Ambedkar statue is an alternative to the Dwarakanagar-RTC Complex road to those coming from the national highway to reach Daba Gardens. It’s a different matter that the Sankar Mutt road is no good. For the others coming from Railway New Colony, Railway Station and Diamond Park , there is no alternative unless one goes via RTC Complex.

Apart from the craters, some work is taken up by the municipal corporation closing one side of the road has made things worse. The work taken up by the municipal corporation on improving roads seems to be taking a while. Unless the work is expedited showing visible improvement, the condition of roads is a major area that is putting citizens to risk.

Earlier, the corporation officials cited continuous rain as one of the reasons for not taking up work.

Now with the respite, it can afford to take up providing much needed relief to citizens.
