Law is dynamic and changes every time to suit the needs and requirements of the civil society, said Justice U Durga Prasad Rao, Judge of the High Court of AP and Telangana.
Justice Durga Prasad spoke at the inaugural of the ‘Profession orientation classes’, organised by the Visakhapatnam Bar Association, at the VUDA Children Arena here on Saturday. Over 70 judicial officers and 600 advocates participated.
Justice Durga Prasad said over the years law was changing very rapidly and at a pace that the people of yesteryears could not even have imagined it. Law was dynamic and made to suit the changing needs and to adapt to the requirements of society.
Principal District Judge Jyotirmai , president of Bar Association P Balakrishna, secretary Jagdeeswara Rao, president of the Forum of Legal Professionals Kuppili Muralidhar, Bar Council members BVR Murthy, S Krishna Mohan, Madhavilatha and a large number of women advocates participated in the programme.
Second Additional District Judge U. Satya Rao spoke aspect of Evidence Act and senior advocate DVSS Somayajulu spoke on arbitration law.
Later in the evening, Justice Durga Prasad delivered the 4th memorial lecture of Padmanabaha Reddy at Lions Community Hall, organised by Indian Association of Lawyers on the ‘Jurisprudence and judicial exposition of human rights’.
President of Indian Association of Lawyers K S Suresh Kumar, general secretary Jaha Ara, Principal District Judge PV Jyotirmai, district judges and a large number of advocates participated in the programme.
