May 16, 2013 11:31 am | Updated 11:31 am IST - VISAKHAPATNAM:

VUDA Vice-Chairman N. Yuvaraj has promsied justice to land-owners and farmers with pending issues in land-pooling projects without delay.

At a meeting with land owners and farmers of Paradesipalem Land pooling (Ozone Valley) project and Cherlopali Khandam of Anakapalle on Wednesday, he said allotment of plotted area to genuine owners would be settled after verification and where allotment was completed registration would be given priority.

In phase-I of Paradesipalem, basic amenities like roads, drains, water supply and electricity lines would be completed soon.

Responding to an appeal made by some of the owners to return land handed over to VUDA on the grounds of delay in development of phase-II of Paradesipalem, Dr. Yuvaraj said a decision would be taken after discussion in the Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority Board since the policy was approved by it.

He asked land-owners and farmers of Cherlopali Khandam, to submit the list of owners and heirs afresh for verification of genuineness.

The issue of allotment of plots on payment basis and allotment at one place would be placed before the VUDA Board and action will be taken accordingly, he said.

Secretary G.C. Kishore Kumar, Estate Officer B Bhavani Das and Chief Engineer I. Viswanatha Rao attended the meeting.
