Minister for HRD Ganta Srinivasa Rao has said efforts are being made to hold joint EAMCET for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

“There are several benefits if the test is held together. The respective Secretaries will discuss and deliberations will continue,” he told reporters here on Thursday.

The earlier efforts to hold the Intermediate examination jointly fell through and the two States are now conducting it separately.

On the talk doing the rounds that former Ministers Dadi Veerabhadra Rao and Konathala Ramakrishna would join TDP, he said anyone could join and party president and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu would take a decision depending on leaders’ character and credibility.

Minister for Panchayat Raj Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu echoed the views later when he said both he and Mr. Srinivasa Rao were part of the party and would abide by the decision of the Chief Minister.
