Magic shows to help remove superstitions, commercial stalls that exhibit a variety of plants and home appliances, a book stall with a huge collection of best sellers, science and technology exhibition, commercial stalls that cater to home needs and a string of cultural programmes will mark the nine-day science fair ‘Vizag Fest 2015’, commencing on April 10.
Organised by Jana Vignana Vedika (JVV), the fest, to be held at Andhra University Engineering College Grounds, is all set to draw more than 2,000 artistes from various parts of Andhra Pradesh to showcase their skills in folk arts and dance performances.
Announcing the highlights of the events here on Saturday, JVV State vice-president K. Trimurtula Reddy said: “Hundreds of students from a number of colleges and schools will display science models at the venue. Besides, eminent leaders from various public sector undertakings will deliver lectures on economic development and theories of evolution as part of the fair. This year, we are expecting a wider participation from across the State.”
The fest which will be held at the venue till April 19 from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. will see hundreds of artistes treating the visitors to a range of cultural programmes in which issues impacting society and environment will be highlighted.
