Jobless youth cheated

A man reportedly cheated unemployed youth to the tune of Rs.20 lakh.

The fraud came to light when 20 victims lodged a complaint with Gopalapatnam Police Station on Sunday evening.

According to police, Sankar Das, the accused started a fake coaching centre and job consultancy in a rented flat at Gopalapatnam a few months ago. He lured 20 unemployed youth of Srikakulam district by promising to obtain jobs for them in Singapore. He reportedly collected over 20 lakh and fled the city on Sunday. Gopalapatnam CI Balasurya Rao registered a case and is investigating it.
