Janmabhoomi arrives sans coaches!

May 09, 2014 09:33 pm | Updated November 17, 2021 12:45 am IST - VISAKHAPATNAM:

Passengers who were waiting for the arrival of the Secunderabad-bound Janmaboomi Express (Train No.:12805) on platform No. 1 at Duvvada were in for a shock on Friday morning.

The engine arrived at 6.45 a.m. but there were no compartments for the passengers to board. They were further shocked to learn that the coupling, which connects the coaches to the engine, broke and the coaches travelled for sometime before coming to a halt. The engine nonetheless moved onward.

The passengers, who boarded the train at Visakhapatnam, turned panicky. The railway authorities sent the engine back and the compartments were coupled again. The train resumed at 7. 30 a.m. after a 45-minute delay.
