Jaitley package not acceptable: Congress MP

This is part of an unholy agreement between TDP and BJP, KVP says

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely’s statement on special package to Andhra Pradesh, instead of the Special Category Status, is not acceptable to the people of Andhra Pradesh and the packages were only meant to have Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to have his cuts, Congress leader and MP K.V.P. Ramachandra Rao said here on Thursday.

“Through the packages, reimbursing the entire amount for the Polavaram project, providing funds for construction of capital city the BJP-led Government in Centre is helping Mr. Naidu to make money. An increase in the number of seats in Assembly would help Mr. Naidu accommodate in the next elections the MLAs who have defected to the Telugu Desam,” Mr. Ramachandra Rao alleged at a press conference. This was part of the unholy agreement between the BJP and the TDP which was working since the time he moved the private member’s bill on SCS in the Rajya Sabha, he said.

The APCC gave a call for siege of highways on September 10 as a protest against the Centre not sanctioning SCS.
