YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy on Sunday asked his partymen to begin preparations to face the forthcoming general elections.
During brief interaction with the party activists and leaders, he told them to have regular interaction with the public and take up their cause.
He also wanted party’s stand on Samaikyandhra explained well to the people at the grassroots.
Mr. Reddy, after spending the night in the city, inaugurated the party’s south constituency office near Monorama Theatre in Allipuram area. Party leaders Kola Guruvulu, G.V. Ravi Raju, Dadi Ratnakar, Koyya Prasada Reddy and Tippala Nagi Reddy met him before Mr. Reddy proceeded towards Bhogapuram in Vizianagaram district.
Earlier, he inaugurated a private hospital opposite Prahlada Kalyana Mandapam. Mr. Reddy addressed several roadside meetings after his arrival in the city on Saturday afternoon on his way to Chodavaram.
During his addresses, Mr. Reddy, who is visiting north Andhra after a gap of nearly two years, has been harping on his party’ stand on Samaikyandhra and is making a dig at the Congress and the Telugu Desam over their stand on bifurcation.
On Saturday night he attended the marriage ceremony of grand son of former Minister and senior party leader from Vizianagaram district P. Sambasiva Raju.
