Isolated heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in north Andhra and Godavari districts.
The low pressure area over Jharkhand and neighbourhood, now lies over northeast Madhya Pradesh and neighbourhood. A fresh upper air cyclonic circulation, lying over Odisha and adjoining Jharkhand, extends up to 7.6 km above the mean sea level.
The trough on sea level now runs from Madhya Pradesh to South Tamil Nadu across Telangana and Rayalaseema, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Heavy rain is very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East and West Godavari till Wednesday.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places over Rayalseema during the same period.
Surface winds
Strong surface winds from a westerly direction, with speed reaching 45 to 50 kmph are likely along and off coastal Andhra Pradesh till Tuesday, according to the Cyclone Warning Centre (CWC) here.
Fishermen have been asked to exercise caution while venturing into the sea.
