Isolated heavy rain likely

The trough on sea level running from Odisha to South Tamil Nadu, across coastal Andhra Pradesh, persists.

An upper air cyclonic circulation lies over northwest Bay of Bengal and the adjoining areas of the Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha between 1.5 km and 7.6 km above the mean sea level, tilting southwest-wards with height. Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East and West Godavari tll Sunday morning. Light to moderate rain is likely at isolated places over Rayalaseema. Strong surface winds from a westerly direction, with speed reaching 45-50 kmph are likely along and off coastal Andhra Pradesh till Saturday afternoon.

The Cyclone Warning Centre here advised fishermen to be cautious while venturing into the sea.
