In-charge Chief Commissioner of GST appointed

Chief Commissioner of GST and Customs, Hyderabad Zone (covering entire State of Telangana) Bankey Behari Agrawal, will hold additional charge as in-charge Chief Commissioner of GST and Customs, Visakhapatnam Zone (covering entire State of Andhra Pradesh), according to a statement issued by Additional Commissioner G. Shiril Saroj here on Thursday.

A 1985-batch Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer, Mr. Agrawal worked at several places. He was actively involved in the drafting of GST laws pertaining to Appeals and Revision and was also instrumental in the designing of the 4-tier GST training plan.

Mr. Agrawal has assured full support resolving grievances/queries of the taxpayers and stakeholders on behalf of the department.
