Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (Kakinada) Registrar G.V.R. Prasada Raju asked engineering colleges to improve infrastructure and try and get autonomous status which would enable them to adopt job-oriented courses and conduct special training programmes for students.

He released first semester results of Aditya Institute of Technology and Management on Monday while congratulating the institute for conducting the exams in a flawless manner. He said that autonomous status would certainly push managements to install state of art infrastructure and appoint good faculty, to meet the highest standards in engineering education.


AITAM college chairman K.Someswara Rao and director V.V. Nageswara Rao said that their students were able to get placements in reputed institutions such as Microsoft, Google, Infosys, TCS and other institutions because the companies were keen to conduct campus interviews in the college as they were impressed with the facilities in the campus. They said they would meet the standards set by the University Grants Commission with the support of JNTU officials.
