The last date for acceptance of admission offers issued for Post-Graduate Degree Programme for IIM-Visakhapatnam is August 31. IIM-V which will initially start at Andhra Bank Institute of Management, Andhra University, received good response from the aspirants for MBA in the premier B-school following lowering of percentile. As against minimum percentile of 96.3 sought for admission into other new IIMs, the authorities fixed the percentile of IIM-V at 90 per cent. If seats remain vacant, there will be another round of allotment for wait-listed candidates.IIM-Bangalore will mentor IIM-V. The redesigning of the building with interiors and ACs is being made. The placement for students of IIM-V will be made by the mentor besides deputing the faculty.
Nearly 400 acres has been allotted for the campus of IIM-V at Gambheeram for which Union Minister for HRD Smriti Irani laid the foundation stone for the institute early this year.
