IIM screening test today

The local chapter of Indian Institute of Metals is conducting a screening test here on Tuesday at the Training and Development Centre of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, for nominating two best teams to participate in the national-level Metal and Materials Quiz -2011. The screening test is open to students from Std. XI and XII only.

The top two teams will represent the local chapter at the grand national-level final to be held at Kalpakkam on September 17.

The Indian Institute of Metals, Kalpakkam chapter, has been organising the national-level ‘Prof. Brahm Prakash Memorial Materials Quiz' every year at Kalpakkam with participation form almost all the chapters of IIM spread across the country. The quiz is being held to promote awareness among students of Std. XI and XII on the importance of metallurgy and material sciences.

Apart from the trophy, the winners and runners-up of the national finals will receive the O. P. Jindal Award that carries price money of Rs.15,000 for the winners and Rs.10,000 for the runners-up. Details can be had on 866506746 or 9440977597.
