A large number of VVIPs, including Governors of AP and Tamil Nadu E.V.L. Narasimhan and K. Rosaiah, Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu, Central Ministers like D. Purandeswari, several Ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs and senior officials are attending the marriage of Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao’s daughter at the AU Engineering College grounds here on Wednesday morning.
While Mr. Chandrababu Naidu will be attending the marriage to be held in the morning, Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy is scheduled to reach here by noon and partake in the lunch. Mr. Naidu coming down from Hyderabad to attend the marriage of his former party colleague strengthened the rumours that Mr. Srinivasa Rao along with a few MLAs is going back to the TDP soon.
Traffic diversionThe city police issued a notice to the people about diversion of traffic from 7 a.m. on Wednesday.
Heavy vehicles going from Anakapalle towards Srikakulam and Vizianagaram will be diverted towards Anandapuram at Lankelapalem and those from Srikakulam and Vizianagaram towards Anakapalle will be diverted towards Pendurthy, Lankelapalem and Sabbavaram. Entry of heavy vehicles via Pendurthy into the city will not be allowed while those coming from Madhurawada will be diverted onto the BRTS road at Hanumanthawaka.
All vehicles, including RTC buses, will not be allowed to ply on the road between III Town Police Station junction and AU Engineering College road and only vehicles of VIPs and VVIPs attending the marriage will be allowed into the AUCE ground.
The guests have also been requested to reach the venue from III Town PS junction and leave towards Maddilapalem junction.
Small vehicles and RTC buses will be diverted according to the situation at the Railway New Colony junction, Rama Talkies junction, Maddilapalem junction, Peda Waltair junction, Visakha Eye Hospital junction, Polamamba temple junction, AU Registrar’s office junction, CR Reddy Square, AIR junction, Seven Hills hospital junction and Gollalapalem junction.
