New system will help in restoration of power in 24 hours

A.P.Transco joint managing director (commercial) H.R.department P.Ramesh said that the APEPDCL has improved the quality of services to customers by introduction of high-technology services to them.

Speaking at a meeting after inspecting the local operations here on Friday, he said that the system of online tracking of defects and faults in transmission has been a great boon to the customers as the system helped them to avoid delays in attending to problems. Mr. Ramesh said that the online tracking system had been taken up on a pilot basis in the Yelamanchili division in the district.

The same at a later stage will be introduced in other divisions as well.

APEPDCL director (operations) H.Y. Dora gave a power-point presentation on the newly introduced DTR IT module. The module will help in the restoration of power in 24 hours in urban areas and in 48 hours in rural areas in the event of break down of transformers.

Other directors of APEPDCL V.Suryanarayana, P.Hari Prasad and chief general managers V.Krishna and B.Ramesh Prasad were present.
