Hard disks, laptop stolen from construction firm

Robbers broke into the office of a construction company in the wee hours of Monday at TPT Colony in Seethammadhara and decamped with nine computer hard disks, mother boards and a laptop.

According to Fourth Town Police (Dwaraka zone) crime inspector Rama Rao, the robbers broke open the back door of J.D. Constructions and dismantled the hard disks and the mother boards from the desktops and took them away along with a high-end laptop.

The executive partner of the construction company, V. Sreenivasa Rao, informed The Hindu that a similar robbery occurred about four years ago and the robbers decamped with three desktops and Rs. 80,000 in cash. They were subsequently apprehended.

The CLUES team was pressed into service and the police are investigating the case.
