Issues of not allowing people into the Defence land in spite of the land being allotted to cremation ground and not permitting de-silting of storm water drains will be taken up with the officials concerned, Municipal Commissioner B. Ramanjaneyulu has said.

During his visit to Wards 46 and 47 along with MLA Malla Vijay Prasad on Saturday, residents of Mulagada brought to his notice the problems they were facing. He asked the GVMC officials to prepare reports to take steps and resolve the two problems. If necessary, an alternative site would be allotted. The MLA said vulnerability to diseases of people had increased because of the location of the ash pond of a private company close to the village. The Commissioner took a serious view of the issue and wanted the company to make alternative arrangements in a month and asked officials to issue notices to the effect. Containers parked in a GVMC site there must be removed in three days and the site fenced, he said.

Responding to complaints of people, Mr. Ramanjaneyulu said a cell tower there should be removed as the lease was coming to an end. Badminton and volleyball courts should be formed at a vacant site Pilakavanipalem and greenery developed.
