The GVMC has sought transfer of Swedish technology in the areas of solid waste management, waste-to-energy with liquid and solid waste, e-governance, transport and housing.

Speaking on the second day of a workshop in which a Swedish delegation is participating, Municipal Commissioner B. Ramanjaneyulu explained the functional and operational systems and the project development activities taken up by the corporation and said the technologies would be integrated with the existing systems.

Earlier, the members of the Swedish delegation visited various ongoing projects, including the dumping yard at Kapuluppada, compost yard at KRM Colony, transfer station and 38 mld STP at Town Kotha Road.

CPI-M floor leader Botta Eswaramma, Additional Commissioner (Projects) K. Ramesh, Additional Commissioner (Finance) K. Poornachandra Rao and Chief Engineer B.Jayarami Reddy were among those present.
