GVMC schools shine in SSC result

With a pass percentage of 77.81, SSC result in GVMC schools improved considerably from 69.84 in 2012-13.

Of the 1,352 students that took the test from 17 schools, 1,052 passed. Last year, 975 of the 1,396 that appeared passed.

KNM Girls High School topped with a pass percentage of 93.75 followed by MVD (91.49) and Madhuranagar High Schools (90). K Colony High School ended up at the bottom of the table with 63.33 per cent.

A total of nine students scored more than 9.5 grade points.

They are S. Navya and V. Rani (9.8, Prakasaraopeta and Madhuranagar ); K.Y. Sai Sravani and S. Rama (9.7, KDPM and KNMGHS, New Colony); P. Jyothi (Malkapuram); K L Prathyusha (KDMP); Kiran Chand (MGM) and A. Bhanupriya (Kapparada) - all 9.5.

At Anakapalle, six schools got 81.89 per cent and at Bheemunipatnam four schools 83.11.
