The GVMC will issue notices to the CRPF to vacate the Indira Gandhi Stadium in the One Town.

The notices were being issued in the backdrop of complaints from people, a case in the Lok Ayukta, and the sports facilities lying idle, Municipal Commissioner B. Ramanjaneyulu said on Tuesday.

The stadium is being used by CRPF for nearly seven, eight years now.

Since the stadium had been allotted following a request from the Superintendent of Police, he spoke over phone to the incumbent SP G. Srinivasa Rao seeking its vacation.

About Rs.50 lakh was due to the corporation towards rent and power bills, the Commissioner said.
