The Governor should not put undue pressure on officials to complete bifurcation related issues as it is likely to influence the courts which are seized of the matter, Anakapalle MP Sabbam Hari said.

The Supreme Court has admitted the petition against the AP Reorganisation Act 2014 and it is to come up for hearing, in view of this it is inappropriate for the Governor to push through the process without waiting for the Court’s decision, the Jai Samaikyandhra Party leader said at a media conference here on Thursday.

The Governor was acting like an agent of the Centre in pushing through the bifurcation despite stiff opposition from the people, Mr. Hari said.

The people have resigned themselves to the bifurcation but they would rejoice if the state remains unified or later on steps are taken to reunite all the Telugu speaking people. “We cannot say with certainty that the bifurcation would be stopped or not, but we have to continue our efforts and we are doing it with commitment and sincerity,” he said adding that Vundavalli Arun Kumar was in Delhi working on the case details.

The Berlin wall and re-annexation of Ukarine in Russia are few lessons
to be learnt by our brothern. I agree with the MP. The Hon'ble
Supreme Court shall pass an interim order on this or petitioners should
move over it.
