Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will participate in the World Adivasi Day celebrations at Araku on Wednesday.

Principal Secretary (tribal welfare) R.P. Sisodia reviewed the arrangements made at NTR Stadium at Araku on Tuesday on the eve of the visit of the Governor and the Chief Minister. Tribal artistes from all ITDAs in the State will participate in the celebrations and present folk arts, which reflect the culture and traditions of their respective regions.

Special Commissioner (tribal welfare) Padma, District Collector Pravin Kumar, Joint Collector G. Srijana, ITDA Project Officer Ravi Pattanshetty and Superintendent of Police (Visakhapatnam rural) Rahul Dev Sharma were among those who accompanied the Principal Secretary.

Meanwhile, the people of Peda Labudu, the village near Araku, which was adopted by the Chief Minister, are disappointed with the cancellation of the visit of Mr. Naidu for the second time. It was announced a few days ago that he would be visiting a village in Peda Labudu panchayat. The Chief Minister will only attend the public meeting at NTR Stadium, according to the revised official schedule issued on Tuesday.
