‘Go Green’ project launched

In an attempt to save environment from plastic and promote the concept of using eco-friendly bags, the local chapter of Junior Chamber International-Vizag Port City flagged off its ‘Go Green’ project here on Monday.

As part of the campaign, 10,000 eco-friendly bags would be distributed in a phased manner. On the first day, 400 cloth bags were distributed.

JCI national president Deepak Nahar launched the programme, which would be organised jointly with the Bank of Baroda for six months.

Earlier, the JCI organised beach cleaning drive and Little Smiles programme.

Bank’s Deputy Regional Manager P. Venu Gopal and president of JCI-Vizag Port City P. Rajita spoke.
